Ever wake up feeling like the world sucks for absolutely no reason? Well that was me this morning. I fully intended to grump (yes I used it as a verb) my way through the day, and avoid any and all human contact. I skipped out on a work meeting and had my headphones in with the volume on my phone turned all the up; basically telling my fellow co-workers “do not disturb”. And yet despite this, as I was walking down the hall, a co-worker motioned for me to take my headphones out of my ears. Annoyed, but wanting to avoid being rude, I begrudgingly took one out. He asked me if I had heard a song by, and I quote, “the guy with the big hat at the Grammy’s” about being happy; I told him that I had not. It seems he heard it on the radio and had thought of me. 5 minutes later after this interaction, I received an email from him with the link to the song and it was titled “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. I clicked on the link and proceeded to listen to the song on repeat for the next half an hour. I don’t know if any of you have heard it, but if not, you should go check it out right now. I dare you to stay in a bad mood after listening to it and/or watching the music video. Just goes to show that if you let it, anyone, or thing, can turn your frown upside down!
